read reid

Welcome to the new home of the First Baptist Church Student Ministry. We have never had an online space before, so I am very excited about the new site.  It is my hope that this site will allow us to stay better connected to our ministry and to one another.  I also hope that this will allow us to communicate more effectively with you.

I hope that you will check it often to stay updated on everything that is going on with our group.  We will keep an updated schedule of events on this site so that you will know what is going on.  Soon, we will have the capability for you to sign-up for events through the website.  I also hope to post pictures and videos from our events up here, so check back soon for that update.

I wanted to take just a minute and explain some of the pages on this site. Under the "about fuse" page, you will find an explanation of why we decided to brand our ministry with the name fuse.  This new identity is a very important step for us.  In the "read reid" section, you will find out what I have been thinking about recently and what I think is important for you to know.  If you're interested, check it out, if not, skip it.  Finally, check out the events page to stay updated on what we will be doing and where we will be going in the future.

This site is for you.  So, if you have any ideas about how we can make it better or how we can better meet your online needs, please email me or fill out the form on the contact page.  It is my hope to make this site better and better all the time so please help us by giving us your feedback.

fuse-this week

Don't miss FUSE this week as we continue our newest series relate.  Most of the stress in our lives can be traced to a broken, fractured, misunderstood, and dysfunctional relationships.  Wouldn't it be great if instead of always producing stress, our relationships were a source of joy and fulfillment in our lives?  Join us this week as we learn how to have meaning relationships with the people in our lives.

read the word-know the word

This semester we are challenging everyone to begin reading the New Testament.  We believe that it is very important for us to know the Word of God.  So, for the next 3 months (September-November) we will be reading the New Testament in its entirety.  If you want to join with us in this challenge, you can click here to download your reading guide.
